The project will test new approaches to stimulate the uptake of innovation in the water sector.
It will :
- mobilise the procurement power,
- building practical and effective innovative procurement strategies,
- testing them and
- disseminating the outcomes for a larger scale adoption.
This will contribute to unlock investments and deliver the solutions needed by the public sector to face water challenges. The process will also contribute to speed-up the development and the deployment of innovative solutions creating at the same time market opportunities for water innovation solutions.
The project outcomes will serve as a best practice model for the European public procurement community.
In the longer term, Innovative solutions are supposed to help to tackle water challenges and to seize market opportunities in Europe and outside.
